The Journey
As I was walking on a path made of gravel that was winding and had large river
flowing swiftly next to it I began to hear the birds sing to one another. After traveling on the road for a lengthy
time I headed into a forest. The forest had pine trees and fruit trees both
with over hanging branches and touching the sky which was a lipid pool of sky
blue. I walked on and came across a shining key hanging from a low branch on a
leather cord. However the key was not made of precious metals, it was purely
made of what seemed to be jewels meshed together. I took it off the branch and
placed it in my pocket and continued to walk. Yet again I came across an item
but this on the ground and was a cup. The cup was made of gold with an ivory
handle; jewels littered the outside of it. Taking a second look it looked like
a goblet rather than a cup. I picked this up and continued on the road which
was now only gravel surrounded by trees, the river had seemingly disappeared.
The path seemed long and it was tiring, as I was about to stop I saw a lake to
the east of the road; I chose to take a swim in it. The lake seemed a
shimmering spotless land; all there was were a few fishes and many plants. This
lake was refreshing but I was still tired and decided to lie on the green
meadow grass under a weeping willow which was on the other side of the river.
